I guess, I'll do what I did before - put up ad on craigslist. That tends to be less costly vs brick and mortar shops. Yes, knowing your grounds and requirements helps dealing with them. I really wish my old guy was still available, he knew his thing super well.

No, I am referring to inverter pump. It is driven by DC motor, not AC motor, off inverter, that converts AC to DC. Logically, it should take very little power as DC is DC and inverter is inverter.

My system is from 2005 and I have all intentions to replace it now, before it all may cost tenfold more.
We live in Pac NW.

No really cold winters,
worst I have seen so far was 7 degrees and that's for like a day.
Winters last maybe a week, ten days.
Usually, winter temp is around 30.

We are in a 2 story, 4200 SF house without natural gas. I have LP but rather not use it.

2 story building with
built in air ducts and
air handler inside the garage.

2 x 200A panels and 220 V - single phase available.

I am seeking recommendations for something reasonably priced, with good warranty - we intend to be there for at least the next 10 years, maybe more - that will suit our needs and allow generator to operate. I am not interested in adding LP furnace.

Reliability and ease of maintenance is a must.

We normally keep heat at 67/65 cold times and rarely turn on AC.

Thank you in advance.

Just as a side note..
Something weird is happening, the very moment I insist on inverted heat pumps. I had like 5th installer in a row to vanish, the very moment I say - no, I need basic inverter HP with air handler. One guy got as far as giving me his bid and promising to send email with agreement - and he vanished too.
Cursed jobs, or something.....

We are close to signing contract.
Is it true :

With the inverter heat pump, it has to be paired with a variable speed furnace for it to function properly and ensure the air is flowing throughout your home efficiently. The regular heat pumps will be able to be paired with a single stage system

OK, update is completed.
We did IDS series Bosch HP up to 18.5SEET and new handler with 10Kw heat strip.
So far so good. It is VERY quiet. And consumes only 6 A. Heat is excellent off HP.
