Cool bot works with a window shaker not a mini!
They list themselves as being able to be used with many splits although I'm pretty sure any decent mini split would say wait the rooms 80°, why is the suction pressure so low and shut down.

I've been thinking I don't know if there's a market for it but it seems like mini split manufacturers could easily build a refrigeration indoor unit that ties onto a normal outdoor unit and runs highly efficient refrigeration. It seems to me that folks with wine coolers or meat lockers things like that would be a good market for such a unit.
Just think of the possibilities a refrigeration unit that neither Refrigeration or AC technicians want to diagnose.

Oh come on now, they are not really that hard to fix. Just need to take your time.

I have not had a big problem with service on mini's.

So here at work (middle of the Gulf of Mexico) we got these Connex Temp quarters ...think of em as shipping containers remade to house 4 people. We usually let the people living there set their own temperatures and the AHU unit only goes down to 62 wont go any lower than that...i have set them all at 68 and have not really had any issues but these issues where always erratic and at diff times...no errors not nothing...AHU still throwing air jsut not cold air...all controls on Condenser side still working as if compressor is working but the Thermal Overloads would seem to be open (could not check as they are internal) and after some time compressor would turn on again.. SO the low Set point could then be the culprit huh?

I agree but the average "technician" is barely able to handle single speed equipment. Most of us here would be fine.

Been in many an argument with IT guys about what to set their "server" room ACs at. I say 70-72 is more than cool enough. But most of these guys think they have to be as cold as meat lockers or else the racks will just burst into flames.

I would trust because he's new to the profession.
Not necessarily.
I am new but I am the one that gets sent to the ones that stump others.
Someone here has a signature that says something about the difference between 20 years experience and 1 year experience repeated 20 times over.
I know technicians who mainly rely on symptomatic "diagnosis" and parts swapping and don't really understand how to use a meter. Those technicians should not touch a mini split.

I couldn't remember who it was because I use Tapatalk so I don't see the forum signatures.

The mini is Mitsubishi

Not sure of the controller. But it looked pretty specialized for that purpose.
I know for sure the resi units will never cool a room to 34*. They will go into limp mode once suction temp gets to low(probably around 38*).....

Maybe something in the commercial line. I dont work with anything commercial so can't say much on that.

Usually when the return air hits 62 degrees they lock into about 26hz with is like 30 percent.
