Trane AUD080c936j1 (forced air furnace)

Found furnace in #6 error code "reversed polarity or bad ground".

Tried to contact Trane tech support but very difficult. Any recommendations appreciated. thank you.

Tell us what you measured. Did you check for reversed polarity or bad ground? How? What tests have performed?

Didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to the call and could not get a hold of Trane (even through a local distributor).
Is there a common test or resolution for this issue?

Yes.

Don't tale this the wrong way. We don't know anything about you.

If this was the Pro section, we could all jump in with our experiences.

For right now, the prudent response is to suggest you call your lead technician or service manager until you can get 15 substantive posts, so you can apply for the free Pro membership.

The Pro membership allows you to post questions behind the shield of limited access, where search engines cannot index our conversation so that anybody can see it.

Testing for reversed polarity is easy. However, I do not want Joe homeowner attempting this based on an internet search.
