N4 Device manager grayed out

BACnet Device manager The discover button is grayed out, can not discover devices on network
Also difference between AX BACnet device manager and BACnet device manager
I am using N4 WEBS

Are you logged in as a user with sufficient permissions to do a discover? Sometimes there are multiple views...click the drop-down on the upper right and see if the option appears in another view.

More than likely you don't have a BACnet port setup and enabled.

IP you need to spell out which nic its going to use.
485 you need to spell out baud, com port and enable it.
Also need to give the local device a valid device instance.

Once a port is up and running, aka status = ok, you should be able to discover.

In N4 do you still have to go in and find the BACnet user and enable SU for that account so it can make changes etc? Another common one I missed in the past.

Can't say I have ever had to mess with that in AX or N4.

Guessing this is only needed if your using export table and need R/W to Tridium points exported via BACnet. If your just bringing stuff into the borg, the default permissions are fine.

The two different device managers is just because your using the HW BACnet driver and not the stock one. That has a bunch of extra crap to deal with spudders.
