I had a gree 3 zone mini split installed in 2016. One 12k unit and two 9k units. One of the 9k units will cool the room to the desired temperature when powered on but once the temperature is reached it won't keep it at that temperature. If I set it to say 68 degrees for bedtime, it will cool to 68 but after it reaches that temp it will only circulate the air in the room but will not cool it down again. Both of the other two units function properly so I'm not thinking it's a refrigerant problem, could it be a malfunctioning board in that individual air handler itself? Thanks for any direction y'all could give.

He doesn't seem to have an answer because it only happens sometimes, mostly at night. When he came by it wouldn't do it. He said he didn't want to just start changing parts to try and find the problem. And I agree, I don't want to start throwing a bunch of money at parts that don't need changing. He will be calling the manufacturer this week to see if they can be a help. I just wanted to reach out here to see if anyone else ever came across this problem.

Thanks for the reply. When I asked about the refrigerant, he said since the other 2 units work perfectly he didn't think it would be that. Does that sound right to you?

The AC doesn't know if it's day or night, unless it has a program feature. I would check to see if there are any settings that might be changing the temperature setting on that head at a certain time of the day.

When the one head quits cooling are the other two heads running/cooling trying to maintain setpoint in another part of the house?

What is the model number of the outside unit?

There is a sleep setting on the unit for night time, but I made sure that is off and we've actually never used that. Also, when the one unit refuses to cool to the proper set point, the other two still operate normally. They reach their set point, then turn off and then cool again when it calls for it. The one the is malfunctioning cools to the proper set point when its turned on, but after it stops cooling, it will not start cooling again to maintain the set point.

The outside model is a Gree Multi30Hp230V1A0

Now last night I tried to put the unit on the setting called "I-feel" which it uses that remote to tell the temperature in the room, and it operated perfect all night.
