I have contacted their support and received yes and no answers two different times. I am getting concerned this isn't the best thermostat choice for my system on that alone.
I am getting a 2 stage heat pump that has two stages of heating and two stages of cooling each. For extremely cold weather there is a 2 stage propane furnace. This means I need a thermostat that can support 4 stages of heating simultaneously (Heat pump 1, heatpump 2, gas furnace 1, gas furnace 2). I am confused by the wording of the nest: "Three stages of heating and two stages of cooling for conventional systems, and two stages of heating and cooling with auxiliary heat for heat pumps."
If not can you suggest one? My only requirements besides supporting the above system is Wifi, scheduler to turn it own at night and up before we wake up, and have control over the fan. Sometimes we use a woodstove to heat which is nice to have the fan always on. The house is only one zone.
