I would like to get a stash of parts for my lab. I've got an old split system that I can use for experiments, but I want to get some parts that I can braze in and play around with. If anyone has a junk box with used/working parts, I'm interested! Looking for TXVs, reversing valves, solenoids, cap tubes, receivers, accumulators, oil separators, EPR valves, and whatever other stuff you might have laying around that I can use to create a refrigeration system from scratch. Maybe even some programmable controls or VFDs...? Shipping to 43230.

You would be better of checking with local contractors or maybe even wholesalers to save freight and that way you can sort through and get what you want.

I'm not a "people person" so I prefer talking to strangers over the internet. :putergreet:

Also, bump just in case someone hadn't seen this thread before, and then I will forget about it. :bump:

I have an actual aquarium chiller floating around. 1/3 HP. It works. Looking to get 225 plus shipping for it.

It's almost 50 lbs. With packaging to a generic Columbus OH zip code it would be an additional $45. I'd have to build a crate for it.

I have it crated. I tried sending you an email but I was having reception problems in the garage. Let me know if you didnt get it.

Got some good deals on crappy wood and paneling at Lowe's today.

I see you provided labels for the handlers to ignore! You know those labels are like Rubics Cube notes right? They will turn it over to see what is on the bottom.

I know. :grin2: The chiller wont go anywhere. Worst case is the compressor gets banged around a bit.

Wow Marc, you must have had fun knocking this together! About enough wood to build a doghouse here lol!

I'm going to use it to practice small-system recovery and charging to start with, and then I might see if I can get a tiny EXV to braze in and tinker with that.
