Well... I called and sent Doug a PM and the reply was not good.

I hate to pay close to $500.00 for a spare set of Ak's but I just might have to. I did order a set of spare clamp sensors and a extra manifold already. As I told Doug, I hope the DC we have will last another 4 years. I can not bring myself to buy any of the "other" digital gauges that's on the market. (No need to call names.)

I hate it for Doug and Brenda. It's just tough as Crap to be a small company and make things work, even when you make an Excellent product.

As I tell my guys... "Lucky Beats Good Any Day Of The Week".

No, it doesn't. Analog is garbage and any 2nd grader can do addition and subtraction.
Nothing personal to the analog guys...
However I agree with JT on this.

Tell me... how can one repeatably see 1/10 of a PSI on an analog gauge???

Analog rules if you know how to do math.

Wir kontrollieren Feuer und Eis
Analogs sux. All it takes is a little bump for the gear teeth to jump. Then you are 10 pis off. They are just not accurate. Also the digi cool pipe clamps are the most accurate ones that I have used.

I just ordered a spare AK 900 from Amazon.

I bought Testo 550 with 5 yr warranty. I have bought a total of 3 over the years. The first one I broke trying to repair it myself. I did not read the instructions how to renew the valves. ( I know, dumbass here). The 2nd set I use for mineral oil and I just in the last 6 months bought the 3 rd set with blue tooth for R410 systems.

I would rather use analogs because I get tired of having to zero out the digitals.

So did Doug say he is closing out on the Digi Cool meters all together?

I emailed digicool 2 days ago in regards to purchasing 2 new plastic knobs. So far still no reply. My blue plastic knob broke. So now i am alternating the red plastic knob between the low side and high side. Depending on which port i need opened/closed. This can be a pain. I looked on their website but it does not give the option to purchase just the knobs. I have ordered some in the past. I had my ak900's for about 5 years now. Based on their website i kind of get the feeling they are selling off the current inventory. I guess i will need to purchase a set of testos for my next digitals.

Does anyone remember that Doug wad having health problems a while back.
I was not aware of that. I understand they are human and they are going to be faced with difficulties. The AK900's have been great to me. If i was to receive an email back saying something like we will contact you within x time to process your order i would not mind waiting. I remember doug wrote a long post about how he was a tech like you and I. But if they never get back to me. How am i supposed to know what is going on? If your customer calls you, then leaves a voicemail saying "Walk in freezer is down". You don't reply back. Can you be mad at them for calling someone else? If you call them and explain you will be over to check the freezer after x,y,z. They will most likely wait for you. I know you understand what i am saying but i am just giving an example. I hope things are going good for him. I will hang around waiting for a reply. In the mean time i will continue to swap my knob/ look for a new set of digitals.

Just put them on another manifold. I never liked the DC manifold, I always put mine on a yj41 2 valve manifold. I've never been a fan of 4 valve manifolds.

I've probably got some knobs laying around if you've gotta have em. TTT may have some too.

Boy oh boy
Things used to be different

Guys in the trade used to make stuff better after they broke it

They would find pride in their accomplishment vs whining about another cheap broken MIC Knob

Good luck with testo
