Hello all, I'm looking for an inexpensive manometer to set my speed on a furnace ac split system. My house is an older house and I know my return air ducts are lacking compared to my supply ducts . Have partially remedied that.
I've seen some no name digital brands for around $40. Are they ok to use are worthless pieces of junk

thanks
Joe

for digital I would get the fieldpiece.. is not too expensive really.

you might find something on ebay but for me I rather pay little more to trust my readings..

Thanks I'm never lucky with used anything
Are you talking about the $40 no name brand or another
I'd rather get something that works then something that doesn't
Durability isn't an issue though

I buy lots of things on ebay your purchases are protected and just look to make sure you seller has high feedback.

Thanks was also looking at the Yellow Jacket 78052 once I was steered in the right direction. Made in the USA too

I have a lot of problems with my returns. I was looking to add a return to help matters out. More supply then returns big time.
Years ago a contractor had me add just a vent right on the return trunk slightly below the Aprilaire humidifier.
unit is in the basement

Therefore I'm not sure whether to try and use a water tube or actually get the meter because I might be taking a lot of readings until I get this right

thanks for all the help so far

Yellow jacket makes a cheap and accurate water tube manometer.

Thanks
I misread a previous post and thought only a digital manometer would work.
This looks more up my alley for the few times that I'll use it.
Do I just need to get a magnetic static pressure tip to go with it and carefully drill 2 holes in my furnace

Thanks
Joe
