I got a second interview next week. :D Unfortunately, it's right in the middle of two calls I have scheduled, so the free time I have is slim (this will be on a break, not on the clock!) I've only ever worked for the company I'm currently with and never scouted for another job - I'm wondering, do recruiters/managers mind if you show up in your company uniform to conduct an interview or should I pack an outfit and change in my truck?

The company I'm interviewing for isn't our competition. They're strictly commercial/industrial and our company is residential. They know who I work for.

Okay, got my answer! I'll run home and change. LOL

All the places I've worked at would understand your situation and would do an interview after work or on a Saturday or something so it didn't interfere with your current job.

I would change clothes and freshen up a bit...
Shows you respect the company you are interviewing with.

Since your prospective new boss knows who you work for now...
It makes it easier.

Parking down the street.... well ONLY if it is safe for the van.
Might ask the new boss if he minds if you park the van there for the interview... mention you are concerned about the tools in the van... :)
Would show you have a sense of responsibility and are willing to ask and follow leadership... :)

I would ask them to set up a time that is more convenient to you. Explain you have scheduled appointments to take care of. I would think if they are really interested in you they would understand.

I told him my schedule was pretty much booked all next week, but I could fit in an interview in the afternoon. He said not to sweat it if I can't make it on that day and time, just let him know and we can reschedule. But I really want to get the ball moving on this prospective new job, so I'm just going to have my office push my call back.
