I have an inversion table in the garage with spider webs on it.
Do you want to sell it?

I know nobody wants to hear the dreaded S word (surgery) but when my back got so bad i could not lay down , sit , or move without intense pain...pain killers that caused constipation , etc......gave up & found the best surgeon.......i could not believe that a simple same day procedure of untangling some nerves with a one inch long incision and ten little stitches could work a miracle!! I woke up & moved around and one hour later i was walking up and down the hallways like a marathon walker felt like a new person...over 20 years ago....never had another issue with my back doing comm'l. work like all you guys changing compressors & all the heavy pump motors , ladders , etc....some of you guys may be candidates for long term relief with newer procedures...find a good doc & talk it out....

I have an inversion table. I like it so much that I bought one for my friend in Florida. He was complaining about his back and now that he has one - I can always use it while I down there. <g>

I have a chiropractor in NJ who is very old-school and seems to always try for producing a cracking-sound on his solid table.

I have a chiropractor in Florida who is apparently new-school and has a hinged table with drop-out-sections. Even better he has a young girl who looks like a 5' Russian powerlifter as his Physical Therapist. She does some kind of massive-static-hand-pressure thing on my back which is like magic. I go a couple times a week when I'm down there.

I do a lot of crunches morning and night too.

Mine too, but electro-stim first then adjustment followed by infa-red/ ultrasonic.

Never had luck with them, at best I would just get a few hours of relief. Have been thinking of giving them another shot with a recent back issue. Also have been eyeing the inversion tables for years.

I forgot - that electro-shock deal is also done by my Florida-guy and his large assistant.

Can you describe the infra-red and ultrasonic therapy ? I don't think I'm familiar with it.

When ones body gets 'out of alignment' (read that a joint is not aligned properly)... there is always a reason.

You may have eaten something, you may have suffered a physical issue, you may be seriously dehydrated, you may have suffered some emotional stress, or you may have just tried to do something physical (lifting or twisting or working too many hours)....
Any of these can cause a number of things... like chemical reactions, physical reactions, emotional reactions, etc... which cause a joint to to out.

My Chiropractor resolves the WHY before fixing the joint... however now we are into holistic treatments... which are difficult to understand, and more difficult to explain.

My guy has 6 rooms, 2 have old school es machines they are fab. I will not let them use the modern ones on me. They may work but too much jerking to get there.

The IR/US is a wand. They use a gel & move it around for 10 min

Make them use a set of ES pads just for you & keep in your file. Must has good pads. Koodies, body lotion & what not kill the sticky on pads.

I hate hate hate hate Hate getting an electrical shock while working. My brain shuts off or something - it really takes me a good while before I am OK again. And Man! does it piss me off!

But the electrodes thing is very cool. I got her to turn it way up and leave it. I guess the shocks are smaller or maybe it's that the shocks don't go though my body's core.

i dont utilize a chiropractor. I do have a professional massage therapy service I use. Ive found that, for me, it's more of a muscular problem rather than a skeletal problem. They can also adjust minor skeletal issues, though. An hour session every 2 weeks to a month helps immensely. Sometimes, I do have a 2 hour session. Dont plan on much work afterwards if you get one... you just want to sleep. Overall, I feel the costs are well worth it and comparable to a chiro. It's about $1000 a year.

No, there's no happy endings in these parlors...

I have an account at Hand & Stone. Which is not the same exact thing - but it's still pretty darned good and they seem to be everywhere so you can stop in where ever you happen to be.

I like all that stuff: Chiro, muscle rubbing, organic / non-processed eating, vitamin supplements, micro nutrients, etc. The natural standard state of being is Health and the Earth provides everything required to have it.
