Hey everybody,

I recently picked up three new 3/4 water hoses for my truck and while doing a PM I got tar all over them. Does anybody know of a easy way to remove this tar? The hoses are getting tar all over the back of my truck and boots every time I have to climb back there. I have a big drum I could put the hoses in and add some sort of cleaner. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks
David

Exactly how did you manage to get tar all over them (3) in the first place?

Petroleum base solvent of most any kind and a LOT of "rag's".

Cold Process "tar"?

I know,it's like some kind of sick voodoo substance that is attracted to anything NEW.

Diesel fuel
X2 It's also a good parts cleaner with a low flash point. It doesn't smell anymore.
Old hot rodders used to say Gasoline is for cleaning parts, alcohol is for drinking and nitro is for racing.
