I have a Goodman, SSX160361BA Condenser and an Aspen CE48G4417SL004 coil. How much R410a is generally in such a system? I'm in Texas and the temperature now is 95F and the unit coil is in the attic of a 2 stories house so about 50 ft of tube between Coil and Condenser?

Thanks.

The factory amount of charge is listed on the condenser data plate. That generally allows for 25-feet of refrigerant line and attachment to the smallest coil that would be a match for the condensing unit. Additional charge needed for your 50-foot run is specific to the unit and would have been part of the information in the installation manual.

I just can't resist asking this.

Why would it be important to know how much refrigerant is in your system, from a homeowner perspective?

So, It sounds as though the tech should be looking for a leak....

Will ever learn... "...the RESSSSSSST....of the story?"
