that would just like the *** manager that is down there william nulton you could not find a sorry no chiller working supervisor then him may the chiller Gods have mercy on his soulPretty humorous IMO, JCI is sueing a competitor because they created a working environment that no on likes and the techs want to leave JCI. So they go after a competitor for hiring the techs they are treating like crap. Only in America!!!!
Never thought I'd see the day. If you cut him he bleeds caribbean
blue. But maybe no more. Sucks for them for sure. Good luck with the redcoats.

damn the cat is out of the bag hiccup burp im bustedSounds like you might have found the rest of my Jack ??
i do not know what to say other than i am sorry. i hope that things will work out.I began to post to this thread the other day. it was a very long reply ( mostly negative ). The short of it is every reason you could think about why you wouldn't want to work for JCI is true. I will also say this the chiller industry from a service stand point has completely changed. Don't kid yourself as a Service Technician you mean nothing to our new owners. You are a means to an end, and that end is profit.
( again I have been wanting to get certain things off my chest. it took me 1.5 hours to make this post. then I just deleted 99.9% of it. and this is whats left )
Chiller if you are pointing this to me well yes I agree I mean nothing to JCI thats ok they will always be in business without me thats good.I have alot of good freinds that work for them and I wish them well. Now lets get to York David Meyers the former York ceo is a mutha fooken traitor an he made millions on the buy, well good for him,me I just do'nt think I am cut out for the new company I worked for York for 11 years before big blue hostilly bought their stocks 1 october friday night.York awhile back york told them no to a direct buy, tickled the chit outa me I did not put my application to jci.Now after trying to show them that the customers and the mechanics (chiller mechanics are not technicians we are mechanicsI began to post to this thread the other day. it was a very long reply ( mostly negative ). I think you misunderstood my post. I am very unhappy working for JCI, I would go so far as to say I am ashamed. Unlike you who was bought out I came over of my own free will fully knowing what JCI's reputation was about. I got everything I deserve. It's NOT ok Frick and the second I can make a good move I will.Chiller if you are pointing this to me well yes I agree I mean nothing to JCI thats ok they will always be in business without me thats good.I have alot of good freinds that work for them and I wish them well. Now lets get to York David Meyers the former York ceo is a mutha fooken traitor an he made millions on the buy, well good for him,me I just do'nt think I am cut out for the new company I worked for York for 11 years before big blue hostilly bought their stocks 1 october friday night.York awhile back york told them no to a direct buy, tickled the chit outa me I did not put my application to jci.Now after trying to show them that the customers and the mechanics (chiller mechanics are not technicians we are mechanics)are the most important thing to revenue to the company well some of their managers and man there is alot of them (over head) sucking up vast amounts of earned revenue and the conference calls holy flaming barrells batman margins are down,we cant send anyone to the contract sites margin is below 60% so they want to send mechanics home,I don't think so Tim,I AINT SENDING ANYONE HOME FOO! I beleive in taking care of mechanics and customers I am not and will not bash jci. When I turned in my notice the right thing to do I guess was not mad just wanted better for myself and my family, just waiting for the right time when all was ok and nothing left undone!!!well I figured they would let me have my vacation well wrong answer the manager of mine while meeting me at the GM dealership needing to do a exit interveiw while I am getting him a part for for his 04 truck at cost on my sons account he tells me he aint giving me any vacation I did'nt ask for much just my 13 years of work and dedication to tell me no sorry comany policy can' do it I say ok cya biotch mechanics make their pay and deserve better then that made these fookers millions of $$$$$ over the years thought the cared more well me and my family will get by without jci too, but the squezzing is going to get ruff!! Well with that said let me give a little back ground bout little ol me I was trained by 2 of the industries best mechanics Larry Peterson still works for jci and Jack Shank which is dead what a outstanding mentor he is dearly missed along with my partents
. Most of my experience is on large tonnage low temp process petrochem and food process. With Fricks,Yorks and Trane chillers O ya did I say customer training and loyalty too!! If I have misled about jci I am sorry thought the would not want to burn the bridge but they did not me.Chiller mechanics are a dying breed jci thinks they could put a soupped of pda in a technicians hand and send the to the customer and take readings pay the little fellor a little and all is good hope it works out for them it's not for me or the customers if you think tahts ok Chiller32 good for you wish you well too. It's just not for me.This is all I got to say hope you understand if you do not I am sorry

Unfortunately you are not correct about JCI business model. The HVAC side has now over taken the automotive side by something a 57% ( HVAC )to 43% ( AG ) ratio. And more then that the HVAC side is making more money currently ( with the state of the U.S. automotive down turn ) So it is very unlikely that JCI would sell off its profit cow anytime soon.My opinion of JCI is based on observation and heresay and a few facts.
JCI is a money maker. They have always provided high level returns to share holders. I believe that HVAC is the smallest part of their business. I understand that they make more money in the automotive and other industries. They continually cull out the nonprofitable parts of the organization. Yet for growth, they are re-entering the operations and maintenance, and of course purchased York. I think they aspire to be turn key mechanical system providers. Equipment, controls and O&M. If this doesn't pan out JCI may sell their whole HVAC side. Trouble is, they have an elite sales force that is sucessful with government and government scale projects. And once in with controls, they are in a project forever.
I have also heard that the talent driven from JCI which competes sucessfully with JCI as a company is likely to be purchased by JCI.
Bottom line is that if they don't make money, they will dump York, stop bidding O&M and maybe sell HVAC controls. They are all about return on investment, they don't carry loosing efforts for long.
