How important is it to braze with Ntirogen and use a vac gauge? Does it even matter?
Micron gaugeI'm sorry...a micrometer. I haven't used one since tech school and forgot what they were called.
I like this analogyHow important is it for a surgeon to make sure his hands are clean before operating on a patient?
30" of vacuum does not exist on this planet-----thus one more reason for a micron thermister type micron measuring device. There is one other hvac tech I know that flows nitrogen while brazing and uses a micron guage while vacuuming. Everyone else vacuums through the manifold and when it gets to 30" its good. Most of the guys I know don't even purge their hoses when hooking up to a system. I do the best I know how and that is why I flow nitro and use a micron guage.
If you ask most people around here how they pull a vacuum they say "I hooked my vacuum pump up and my blue gauge pulled right down to negative 30 so its good to go".30" of vacuum does not exist on this planet-----thus one more reason for a micron thermister type micron measuring device.

How about 29.92 ?
Sounds about right to me.30" of vacuum does not exist on this planet
How about 29.92 ?
i knew it was 29.something lol use micron gage and let it hold then come back to see if still same30" of vacuum does not exist on this planet
How about 29.92 ?
also if you dnt know already..you need two sets of gages bc the different oils do not mix btween r22 and r410.. the oils can sludge up ur gages if you dnt
