News Flash Dale Earnhardt Jr. to drive for Michael Waltrip Racing

He will be racing Toyota's in 08!


In his press release he stated the #1 reason for signing with Waltrips Toyota team was, "honestly I am just tired of working on Sunday".

That's enough to turn some Earnhardt fans into Gordon fans ! :D

Matter fact I started watching the 600 late what happened to the Nascar queen Gordon I don't see him in there?

Hummm..... I would have never believed he would go with Toyota. Not really sure Waltrip would be for it either.


Been a Gordon fan for years. All because I like the color of the dupont car back when he started out.


Ya I know ......everyone hates Gordon and I have nothing against Earnhardt JR. I have a hard time with the opinions that nascar is riding high off of JR's name tho. He is a big name but if he didnt have the dad he had ....... he might be in the same boat as Carrie Earnhardt or even less known. Dont think Dale tried as hard to make Carrie as big as JR.

Anyone thinking Nascar is running on JR's name is in a fantacy world. Hes good but there are a lot better on that track at any time, if their having a good day. He is not dominating anything.

dec, your right Little E is not keeping Nascar afloat but you can bet there pockets are a
lot fuller with him in the mix. :D
Apparently you don't know what the Earnhardt name means to Nascar.

hummmm suprised they would use that as a replacement car being they have the new cars.

Also I think thats the firts time I have seen Jr. with a headband on. :D

Your probably right being you never saw as many commercials out of the Petty family. I dont remember seeing a lot of ads with Lee Petty , Adam Petty, or Kyle ..... ok so a little with kyle on the camp started for his late son.

I guess I just relate it more to what Richard and Dale did. Kinda the same with the Allison's ..... there is a lot of racing families. Not all the family has the recognition for their racing achevements as they get by being in the family.

Your right , you do see a lot more ads with Jr. and Michael Waltrip in it. That surely does promote Nascar.
