If I had the misfortune of cleaning up that mess, there'd be a spray bottle of undiluted bleach in my hand, saturating the piss out of all that before even thinking about scraping it.

Gloves, respirator, etc. as well.

You nailed it.There was no other way to do it.

1/2 gal of bleach.

1 can of lysol.

rubber gloves.

That works! I worked on a vac truck a couple times when I was a machinist intern (aka, you do the crap work lol). The one job I was sent to help on stunk reaaaaaally bad. Took a finger full and packed my nose full... worked great. Till it came out... repack and you're good to go again.

You kinda get used to the smell. Our shop is next to the morgue and there are times where bodies start to bleed and smells the whole floor. New guys will want to throw up or week to stomach people. It doesnt phase me just keep on doing job.

Nest time you are dealing with strong odor try vicks vapor rub under nose. That is what crime scene investigators use. So I heard.
In the old days they smoked cigars. I never though that worked until I saw my first decomposed body... I remember my training officer just laughed when I gagged, and lit up two cigars... all you smell is cigar.

Next time I'll use the vapo rub trick...

I used to work on Thermo King units, transport refrigeration. Once they "lost" a trailer full of chicken.
When they found it had run out out of fuel and baked in the summer heat for a few days. I got the trailer after some poor bastard had to empty it. Talk about stink!!!
I bought about 10 big cans of folgers coffee and scattered it through out the inside of the trailer. Then I hosed the coffee down with water, closed it up and started the unit. After two days all you could smell was coffee.
