Hi, I have a question : I recenely bought a 5 Ton heat pump "Goodman" (bought it on Ebay and the guy lied to me when I asked what tonnage was the unit, I told him I needed a 3 ton condenser and thats what he told me it was). When I picked it up it looked good but I could not tell anything else other than that since I know nothing about these things.
I called a some company and they hooked it up for me, telling me that it was ok, that the condenser would cool fast and Cycle more often (I just want it to cool, not heat).
Well they hooked it up and all seems to work fine but they say that the freeon does not circulate around the coil inside and back to the unit, that something may be blocked at the coil.
There are 5 wires coming from from the unit, Red, White, Orange, Green and Yellow and I have 2 comming from inside (original from previous unit) they hooked the Yellow and Orange to one and the green to the other, it seems to be "ok" but someone else had told me I needed 3 wires form inside..I personaly think is not needed because the Orange only requires "charge" the reason they wire it toguether with the Yellow.
Anyway the unit runs but it does not cool, can anyone shead some light on this?
Many thanks
Jim
